After-School Child Care

We are seeking someone responsible, energetic and fun for after-school child care, typically 3 p.m - 6 p.m. We have two great kids, ages 9 and 12, in a professional full-time working family. We are convenient to Manchester and 270. A RELIABLE CAR IS REQUIRED.
Basic job responsibilities include: transporting children as needed ( pick up from school, transport to after-school activities, bring home, etc.), prepare and serve snacks/meals as needed,
assist children with homework,
engage the children in age appropriate activities (games, arts and crafts, playing outside, going to park, etc.), run light errands with children (pick up milk, return DVDs, buy birthday gifts for classmates, buy craft supplies, etc. and even better if you can occasionally pick up/drop off dry cleaning too!), assist with light household activities (to help this full-time working mom!- help kids pick up, load/empty dishwasher as needed, sweep kitchen after snacks/projects, help keep kitchen neat (no bathrooms or heavy duty cleaning. I have cleaners to do that)), and sometimes help start dinner (preheat and put something in the oven, supervise the children peeling potatoes, help children make a salad, etc.). Potential for full day (when no school) overnight and evening care. We would like someone with SOME CHILD CARE EXPERIENCE. References are required too. We have had extensive and wonderful experiences over the last eight years with care providers, having hosted young European women through an Au Pair program. The children are older now and in school all day, so the live-in arrangement no longer works for us. Like our Au Pairs, we would welcome the right person to become an extension of our family...like an older brother or sister...versus just a "baby-sitter."
